We delivered a competent workforce for Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation, Hook-up and Commissioning scopes in a challenging offshore environment.
The Mechanical scope included activities such as pipe-fitting, welding, pipe-rack assembly and erection, equipment installation and commissioning along with the provision of portable cranes, forklifts, cherry-pickers and operators. The E&I scope covered cable trays, cable pulling, cable termination, loop testing, commissioning, E&I equipment installation and commissioning.
In strict compliance to international standards and to Kazakhstan’s labour regulations, we provided 800+ competent local and foreign workers from commissioning engineers, foremen, on-shore site superintendent through to highly qualified pipe-welders with proficiency in all CuNi, 6mo, Duplex, Inconel 625, Incalloy 825, stainless steel and carbon steel materials.
We assembled four 10mx10mx20m (HxWxL) pipe-racks (including piping and walkways) representing 1,500 tons in total.
The key challenges on this project included stringent new work permit regulations for foreign workers and difficult logistics due to helicopter-only access during the winter months with temperatures reaching as low as -40 Celsius. We maintained strict compliance to international standards by executing Offshore OPITO Standard Training to a diverse multinational workforce. We delivered a cost-effective, high-quality solution.
